Tim, can you teach me how to do that.  I never seem to it going  in the
race.  I guess I need and wheel and pedals with a cltuch for games.

Two feet here, just like with my race kart. Try driving a kart with only 1
foot!!

Just the same as driving any car with an automatic transmission.

You're probably right.  But I have a rather unique situation here.  My
chair not only swivels, it also does a "rocking" motion and rather
easily at that.  To attempt to two foot drive is rather comical, with
the chair being tossed about. 8-0  Therefore it's also harder for me to
control.  And so I adapted a one foot style.  I like my chair.  ;-)

Probably because my left foot isn't as 'co-ordinated'.  I can never get the
correct brake pressure trying to stop.  Strange, because I can play drums(well,
a while ago), and use both feet just fine...
So, Right-foot braking, 1:30.50 at Monza, 1:07.61 at WG.  We won't even TALK
about the other tracks... :-)

<I have some trouble to understand why in real racing many drivers have huge
<difficulties to go from right-foot to left-foot braking.

Just look at what Zanardi did this year in F1.  Because he could not get a
grip with left foot braking, he sucked big time, while the year before,
where he using his right foot in CART, he was THE star.

I brake with my right foot with my road cars, automatic and manual, but use
my left foot in Sim racing.  This way I'll be ready when I move from GPL F2
to "La Scuderia Ferrari" when Schumacher retires...

I'm not a master GPLer, but I drive with two feet.  It was a habit I formed
with my old Thrustmaster T1 & T2.  It took me a long time to break the habit of
using throttle and brake simultaneously with my single axis pedals (TSW)
(Someday I'm going to rewire this bad boy.)

Eldred,

One of the suggestions to improve your laptimes was to start using
your left foot for braking. But as I just read in this thread, 1:28's
can easily be done with right-foot braking, so there goes that
suggestion :)

I drive with two feet, one foot driving seems totally un-natural for me.
I can concentrate so much better with two.
As for laptimes, 1m27.1 at Monza, 1m18.6 at Kyalami, 1m04.2 at the Glen
(all Lotus, though my main car is the Ferrari).

both feet.  just like gokarts.  its hard at first, but I'm sure its faster.
and you can use both at the same time (sometimes helpful).  you save
precious milliseconds not having to take your foot off one pedal and move it
over to teh other.

Still a 2-footer in sims and still using a T1!!! :)

1 foot in real life tho...yeah, as the other guy said, being 6'2" (and 16 :)
makes it kind of hard to get comfortable...even when the only two vehicles
you ever really drive are a '97 Suburban and a '70 GMC pickup (the latter is
finally automatic...I still can't get that fricking clutch down!!  So I
can't drive my dad's '94 Camaro Z28! :(

I get it now,,,,,,,

What you all say about driving a real car, the left foot only goes on the
clutch and isn't used if its an auto-transmition.

Ah, I see where this is going yet for a racing game it seems awkward to me,
like you would loose time by doing this.......

....then again, since I've spent about 50 times as much driving karts then
real car then I suppose I'm just used to how a kart is driven.

Are all drivers in CART braking with the right foot? Why is that? In F1 they
brake with the left I think.
