Rally Trophy is the only "simulation" of Rally motorsports in that list.

I have Colin, Rally Tropy and Rallisport. They're all fun and vary as far as
being sims, but Rally Tropy is the closest to a sim. Rallisport Challenge is
a blast if you suspend all reality and just have fun. Plus it has the
funniest moment on replays: on the Safari track 3 zebras turn their heads as
you go by.

Rally Masters is still the most realistic physics model for me. The graphics
are just average by current standards, but it has excellent feel and
control.

Rally Trophy

I had a cow run across my path in Rally Trophy, which my son thought was
hysterical!

Did anyone ever manage to actually hit one of those "wildlife"
inhabitants?

Not yet, but I have been closer to them, in the game then in real life
luckily.

Have to agree - Michelin Rally Masters is the only sim of rallying
where you have to be in complete control of your car to go fast - and
the different physics models of fwd, 4wd and rwd have give satisfying
levels of difference between the different cars.

Sounds are terrible, though - though that might just be my set up.

CMR 2.0 is fun though - and to be fair the physics of it are damned
good (though no doubt someone who has actually driven a WRC car will
tell me differently).

I've not tried the others mentioned here.

I always enjoyed Rally Masters for some reason. Real easy to get some
realistic power slides on, and that Audi S1 looked awesome :)

...or else you would know that Rally Trophy enters the above category you
mentioned in your paragraph! ;-)

Have to agree too :)

This game have been so timeconsuming for me the last 3 years online...
really nice and quick online "menu"...never more than 2-3 minutes in the
lobby - and out rallying with so much competitors from all over the
world...

The other night was the first time in 2-3 weeks for me, and I started
RallyLobby.exe - plong! after 35 sec I was in a 3 lap race in Italy with
4 other guys...I like very much to take the Megane out and kick som T16'
as... :)

Still the most popular online rallygame after 3 years. On an average
middle-week night (european time) I count 20-30 players on 3-4 servers.
Maybe the physics isn't RallyTrophy-like, so what? It's a game, isn't
it? I'll rather race than fiddling with setup's for hours...:)

I bought RalliSport Challenge (also a DICE-game) at x-mas, and have
tried it online 4-5 times, but there is only some 2-4 guys there...:(
Great fun though---the Koenig DownHill on ice in a 800 bhp - 250 km/h
car is - yes - a little frustrating..::)
