Best Rally Sim?

Hey Gang,
I am looking for opinions on the best < read that most fun > Rally sim. The
one from *** a few years ago was cool, Sega's was too much a cpu hog, ran
like ***even on my BIG machine. Also, is it just me, or does Burnout suck
??? Worst sim since those overhead pong type games. Whats the NHRA one gonna
be like? I remember reading this one was suppose to do realistic burnouts,
shake the screen on hard launch, etc... and its totally UNrealistic. Anyway,
its better than nothing I suppose..

Huh ? I think it's not out yet (well maybe as a demo for the PSX).

If you want fun... try International Rally Championship (probably
distributed by *** where you live). It's the sequal to RAC Rally
Championship.  It's an arcade version of the past "sorta" simulator.

In the next months you will see a new Rally Game called Colin McRae Rally,
and from what we can see it will be a great game, but we still have no idea
if it's targeted more to the arcade or realistic market (I bet 10$ on the
arcade people).

For the moment, it's the best drag racing game on the market..

But I still have fun with Street Rod 2.

There's a game-show on tv, they showed something from Clin Mcrae.
I don't know if the real game will be like that, but it looked great!

The old "International Rally Championship" fro europress
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
is great too, but its 3 or 4 years old

I was realeased in the UK (and possible Europe) on the PSX about 2 weeks ago.
It's due on the pc soon. Check out http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Can I take that tenner? :)
It's very much on the sim side.
There are something like 48 courses (proper stages not looped circuits) and 4
special stages with 2 cars racing each other.
There are 4 front wheel drive and 4 four wheel drive cars (and some secret
ones too - Audi quattro, Escort MkII, Integrale......)
The handling is excellent. You can powerslide on the slippy courses and you
have much more grip on the tarmac ones. The car takes damage which you have to
repair within a time limit at the end of the stage (or every 2 or 3 on the
medium difficulty level). Not having enough repair time can result in the car
pulling one way, braking poorly, lights flickering on the night stages etc.
The cars also accumulate mud on the wet n muddy stages. Nice touch.
