CMR, Best Rally Sim ?

by Jay » Fri, 08 Jan 1999 04:00:00

I've been having a lot of fun with Colin McRae Rally and would like to get
the full blown version. Does anyone know when it will be available retail in
the USA ???

I know I can purchase it for $40 over the internet, at www.interactcd.com,
but am a bit leery of buying stuff over the net.

Also, how does this game rate against other Rally Sim's ??? Is there any
reviews available on it yet???

Thank's
Jay J

PS: Vic, see my post below about Cheat Codes, not sure about the "fancy
cars" but there is supposed to be a code to unlock the various
tracks/stages!

I have been buying games from InteractCD with out any problem. I use the web
sight to see what they have and then call in my order on the phone. They
also have used games for about half price and will buy your old games for
about half of that. I sent them a few old games (about 6 months old) and got
enough to pay for a new one.

Hey, ordering over the web is the wave of the future. I have ordered
numerous things over the web. I know how you feel though.

Well I took the leap of faith, and sent my order in for CMR, should be here
by the middle of next week!

Hope I can sleep before then :-)

Speedvision had the entire FIA World Rally season (1/2 hour shows for each
Rally) on back to back to back on New Years Day.

I taped them, as I was busy watching Football, but am not getting a chance
to catch up with them, and between watching the Rallys and playing the demo,
I'm chomping at the bit to get at the full blown version of this great
sim!!!

I ordered the game from them and it showed up 2 days later. They seem
to be a class act. I havent been able to play CMR much yet,but it does
seem interesting so far. Damn shitty user interface though on the
menus.
