What's recommended as a good rally sim with well done physics and force
feedback? I'm in the market for one.
thanks

I suggest seriously: Wait for five more years for let's say.....Colin McRae
5.0 ! (damn)

Colin McRae 1 to Colin McRae 2 was a drop in quality - so Colin 5 will be
REALLY REALLY CRAP..

Rally Championship's alright if you're prepared to play with ini files etc

Yep, RC is maybe a bit more realistic and RM a bit more fun.

But great to play, both of them

From a driving/physics point of view, I'd have to say it's the other way
round. RM (and CMR2) feel more like being in a real rally car than RC. But
RC's stages and the general atmosphere of being in a real event is
unsurpassed.

I have Collin McRae 1, just bought CMR2, checked the demos of Rally masters
and Rally Chamionchip 2000 and just resently bought RC2000 as well. Removed
CMR2, installed RC2000. Why? CMR2 graphics and all are impressive but when
you check it against the real thing (Television coverage of rally sport
events) the roads are way to wide, and it does not give me the "immersion"
of RC2000, or even CMR1. All reviews you will find on the internet give CMR2
a good review only because of the good arcade and graphics and sounds, not
for realism......
So I would say go for RC2000 (I disliked the Rally Masters demo, don't know
about the real game. RM does not get hi ratings in reviews.)

I think RM is very under-rated. Apart from feeling slightly strange under
braking, it's got the best physics / handling of any rally game I've tried,
and it's fantastic fun as an online multiplayer game.

Ok. Like the all-time great Grand Prix Legends for those that seek Arcade
"racing" ;-).

Right on the money, I have CMR 1, tried the CMR 2 demo & thought it was
great.  Bought the full ver, had a ball until I did a sealed road rally. Too
acrade on the road.
Bought RC 2000 to day It's great, kills CMR on the sealed roads.
Perhaps the dirt & mud is slightly better on CMR 2  if at all.

Best rally sim?

Are you talking game, or sim?  The multilane freeway road width that is used
in CMR1 & 2 (and Rally Masters) surely relegates these rally programs to the
designation "game"?  Glad to hear you like RC2000, anyway; it's the one
driving game/sim/whatever that actually frightens me at speed.  The
realistic roads I guess have a big contribution to this.

I spent many hundreds of hours with CMR1.  If you've played the Geoff
Crammond Grand Prix games as well, would you say the step to CMR2 was a bit
disappointing, like going from GP2 to GP3? (good sim, but more like GP2.5)

Toca 1 to 2 not bad
CMR 1 to 2 better not not over the top
GP2 to GP3 very disapointing  GP2 still rocks for the amount of computer
hardware it needs
Your right RC2000 at speed on the narrow roads does scare even though we
know there will be no pain !!!!
Nascar 3 delivers good  game play & graphics for the amount of computer
hardware required as well.
I think GP2 & CMR1  rate as good games for their time.
I had the 1st rally game Europress put out  it was not good, I then had
Network Q RAC Rally, very good at the time, picked up International Rally
the day it came out, no dash view. Not as good as Network Q IMHO
