Voodoo3's tech support hasn't helped at all, so it's time to turn to the
experts. ;)  My Voodoo3 2000 PCI worked wonderfully with my P200 for about
five days, and after I installed F12000, it started to***up.  Upon
starting the computer, the screen is bright red, green, or blue, and the
fonts are screwed up.  Then when I get to Windows, it tells me there is a
problem in my hardware settings.  Sometimes I can turn my computer off, and
it'll come back on fine, but lately that won't work.  Any ideas on what
could be the problem and/or how to solve it? (I have reinstalled the
software for it already...no help) Thanks! :) (BTW, I can't race when it
screws up, but I can when it starts normally)

I have to ask; did you have it overclocked?

It almost sounds as if you have more than one "installation" or instance
of the drivers loaded.  You may want to start Windows in safe mode and
then delete all instances of the Voodoo3 you see in the Device Manager.
Then use the standard SVGA Windows drivers and re-start Windows and
re-install the drivers.

Michael,

I'm thinking of buying a Voodoo3 3500 (AGP)  for my PII450. I currently have
a Monster 3D II 12MB 3dfx (voodoo 2) as my secondary card (SLI). The main
card is AGP, an ATI 128 something.

If I get the V3, would that mean that I would have to remove the V2 from my
pc?
Should I better buy a TNT2 AGP? so that I can have both good cards on my
system?

Thanks,
Arturo

Just a little follow up.  After opening 'er up, I noticed that the fan in
my 'puter has stopped working.  Would the excess heat possibly toast the
card? (after finding a "creative" way of returning it to Best Buy, a new
one works fine)

Yes, that is probably what happened, the Voodoos can run hot. Be sure
that you get a new fan, otherwise who knows what may happen again.
