Everyone out there complaning about slow frame rates in rendention mode for
N2 should have bought sierras card it wonderful and easy to install. I know
nothing about computers and got mine to work in 30 minutes or less. I do
know how important frame rates are in a racing sim but I wont have to worry
about that now. Buy this card its worth the extra money for hassle free and
fast graphics. Bubba Green

What refresh rates does this card support?  Ive tried the Reactor and
the 3D Blaster.  Both are terrible in windows.  My first card was a
Triton 9440, and I could run windows in 1024 x 768.  These other two
cards won't work at that because of the Horizontal refresh rates.  I
have a fairly new monitor (14"), but it only supports up to 35.5KHz
horizontal refresh rate.  I don't know what the newer monitors support,
but this figure (horizontal refresh rate) isn't marked on the outside of
the boxes on ANY of these cards.  Also, the colors and brightness seem
to be off.  Probably because of the refresh rates.  I'm running a
pentium 100, with the FX chip set.  I wish I could get this fixed, but I
think it's a physical limitation not software.  I guess I'll have to go
back to my old card.  :(

I had updated the Bios on the Reactor, but not the 3d Blaster.  I also
updated the M/B bios.  I think refresh frequencies are hardware
dependent though.  Not sure?

My M/B book doesn't say.  Is there any way I can tell?  I purchased it
about 2 years ago.
