FF in GPL?

by A.Ingra » Mon, 27 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Here I sit on Xmas night with my new LWFF. It is working great except for
one small detail... no FF!! I have tried everything, core.ini FF set to 1 to
enable FF. For the life of me I can't seem to figure out how to get the FF
to work. FF works fine in N3 and SCGT. Can anyone help me out over here? I
would really appreciate it. TIA

Make sure you core.ini file is not still named core.ini.sample. If you have
file extensions turned off in Explorer all you will see is core.ini and
think that all is well.

Also make sure the ; is removed at the beginning of the lines concerned
with FF.  Settings for my LWFF are as follows:

[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1                        ; Use FF if device has it
force_feedback_damping = 5.000000       ; force feedback damping
coefficientforce_feedback_latency = 0.020               ; force feedback
latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 200.000000                ; steering torque in N*in
giving max device force

Hope this helps you, it's well worth the effort!
