F1 - 2001 - controller setup

by jjc » Sat, 06 Oct 2001 16:17:58

Hi,

Just got my hands on the New EA Game : f1- 2001.
After hearing al these good things I couldn't wait to give it a try.
First impressions appears to good. However it is giving me a hard time to
get the controller settings right.
It seems to have way to sensitive turning for me to drive. Adjusting the
sensitiity helps a bit but I just can't get the setup quite right.

Does anybody wants to share his settings ?

I'm using a Ferrari Force Feedback wheel.
My settings : x-axis sensitivity: 56
                    y-axis sensitivity : 85
                    z-axis sensitivity : 85

(BTW The game doesn't use any FFB - how is it  possible ?)

Thx
Jimmy

I have exactly the same problem.. steering input doesn't feel right,
brakes sometimes work, sometimes the cars stops 50 meter to far.
I tried every combination with the deadzones and sensitivities, also
the same settings that a friend of mine with exactly the same
configuration uses.
Frustrating :(
