I updated to 1.0.7.4, installed all the GT mod stuff, and no-cd patch.
I'm having problems with the controls. I have an ActLabs GPL Shifter,
MS Wheel, and ActLabs pedals. I moved the controller ID# around in
the game controller panel in Win98SE but F1-2001 only sees 2 of the
controllers at any given time and not all 3.
Anyone have a similar setup to this and able to get it to work? I'm
dying to play this game! WSC is in my grasp.....
Here's my setup:
ID #1 - LWFF (split-axis)
ID #2 - USB Shifter
ID #3 - TSW Pedals (gameport)
F1-2001 was a bit problematic in getting 2 controllers recognized, but a
little persistence in the controller screen finally got it to "take". I'm
not sure if persistence is the key for 3 controllers, or if it's just not
possible.
But, you're right.....I'll have to give that a try. Maybe tomorrow
night.....If I get it towork, I'll let you know.

Basically I can only have shifter/wheel or shifter/pedals.
pedals/wheel works but the shifter has to be unplugged. Once i plug
in the shifter, one of the others goes missing.
Let me know if you can it working.
The only way I can have it working with 3 controllers is this. I plug
in my wheel and pedals and set it up in the control setup. BUT leave
the shifter unplugged. Make sure the ALshift utility is running in
the background. When the race begins then plug in the shifter. It
works till the race ends. Then you have unplug it again, setup the
controllers and repeat. Kinda annoying. There has to be an easier
way.
My belief is F1-2001 can only see two contollers - so if you can get
the shifter to be the third controller from F1-2001's view it should
be ok - the ALShift uses it and converts the inputs to the keys
assigned to gear shifts - you would have to match these.
The odd thing is the different orders the controllers get assigned
in different games. I would have expected them to be the same...
Also, I recall that there's some kind of "nocanary" setting to allow Viper to
be used without the CD in the drive. Can you provide any specifics on that?
