Excerpt from an interview with Doug Arnao:

Q - Papyrus blessed us with Gpl and N4, what is the next simulation
planned?   will it be N5,  modern single seaters or a gpl2?

DA -  Papyrus would like to do a modern F1 sim, but Sierra wants N5
first. Papy is trying to sell them
   on the F1 idea last I heard :)

I am quite impressed by GPL's physics, but unfortunately I don't like the
lack of aerodynamics. I would be very much interested to see what Papy could
achieve regarding modern F1.

The game engine has aerodynamics modelled into it, but if you want to see it
done incredibly well, check out Nascar Racing 4.
