Okay, I'll put it another way and see if you can grasp it:

"They" imply.
Therefore the "they" referred to in you response to David must be
controlled by the word "imply", not "infer".

Have another look at the structure of your sentence and I'm sure that
you'll get it.  if not, write it out 100 times on the blackboard :O)

MS didn't write the code anyway. TRI did.

John Wallace said the same thing I did (check below) concerning GPL, are you
addressing this to him too?

If pro race car drivers can't drive a sim, and be able to tell you if it's
good or not, then sims are worthless. They are supposed to be re-creating
the experience of driving real race cars, right? Who would know better? This
is so basic. I think some sim fanatics need to rethink what the hell they
are doing. Pilots get part of their training on simulators. I guess you
would tell them that they wouldn't know whether that simulator is any good
or not? I better stay off planes then.

If your income from being a writer dwarfed that $100 dollar compensation to
the point of being irrelevent, than I would trust your review to be honest.
It is highly possible that these drivers were asked to test drive CPR, and
if they liked it and were willing to attach their names and opinions to it,
then they would receive some compensation.. Like I said before, it must be
pennies compared to what they earn as a race car driver so I hardly imagine
that they decided to sell their souls because they HAD to have the MS money.
These guys make millions. Be logical.

There are so many posts regarding bugs on this newsgroup with F1RS even now.
Ubi Soft is still flooded with them. Just like POD. My only real problem
with it is the driving model seems too easy. But, unlike others I never
claim to know exactly how it should feel, and  I do enjoy it for what it
does which is good racing with the AI, unless they ram you which happens way
too often. What it does poorly is: sound, menus, possibly the driving model,
non save of setups, and most of all, the internet play is useless. For me,
CPR's internet ability is FAR more important than being able to race the AI,
which is beatable in any sim I've tried anyway, including F1RS.

See where I'm at? None of these sims does everything perfectly, so the
strong statements by some are ridiculous.

If you want to know why a second patch wasn't made for CPR, see my new
thread.

Hmm, an OS which I have to reboot anytime I'm changing an IP address...
that's gotta be complex! ;^)

I never heard Zanardi commented on CPR, only Gugelmin and Blundell.
I'd be interested to hear his comments. I was actually talking about
comments in a non-professional sense (unsolicited or not in a
marketing context). When someone or their sponsor is paid for
something it's difficult to be thoroughly objective!

Zanardi is some driver these days (although CART seem to be upset with
him), but I think a certain Mr. Schumacher may disagree on the best in
the world tag - his drive in Hungary was quite stunning. Mind you, I'm
sure every driver thinks they're the best in the world - if Zanardi
gets the Williams seat next year we may just find out head-to-head!

Cheers!

Thanks for the refresher Bruce, my comprehension of that was, and is,
fine. Now perhaps you can grasp the below so we can get back to
talking about the subjects this group exists for.

In 15 years of working within various multi-national companies where
clarity and speed of communication are vital it becomes very obvious
that writing for the comprehension of your audience is of far more
importance than ***attention to grammatical accuracy. For that
reason I write as I do, for clarity of comprehension and effect rather
than out and out accuracy. If you had any trouble grasping the meaning
of what I wrote then please feel free to ask any of the other people
on the newsgroup for a summary, since they apparently understood it
perfectly well. If however you did manage to understand it, in future
can you please presume that I neither require nor desire a commentary
on the way I write, and that I have written what I believe is
necessary in order to convey my meaning.

Okay? Hopefully that way it will save us all some time.

Cheers!

Do a lot of pennies add up Dave? If Zanardi said "CPR is very ordinary and GP2 and ICR2
are definantly staying on my HD" would MS be publishing that. Anyway, it seems your saying
that all namesake racing sims are grand because their namesakes say so. How's Andretti
racing going Dave?

PS - you into self ***?
