If you're referring to me, I haven't given an opinion about CPR, other than
possible what video card to use, in about 2 months before this thread. I'd
guess dejanews would show that to be true.

When you do something that very few others can do, you get compensated for
it in many ways. That's being smart. So what? They get millions to race, I'm
sure whatever they were compensated for their comments is pennies in
relation to their total earnings.

Yes Bruce, you made me cry. Being told I suck by a "Bruce" on an internet

Um, George,  let me guess...Is  this the first Microsoft app you've ever used?
Microsoft is, always has been, and probably always will be, a mediocre software
company with GREAT advertising & PR, and the money to buy out all serious
competition.

Whether you're talking games, business apps, or operating systems, Microsoft's
programmers write only 'adequet' code.  As a rule of thumb, MS products with
version numbers less than 3, or that end in .0, should be avoided if at all
possible.  IMHO as a computer professional, of course.

How about a modem "Celebrity Deathmatch". On CPR and ICR2, winner take
all!

>If someone says CPR sucks, then they absolutely are saying I
>suck at driving sims

David,,,what a ridiculous and paranoid statement.
Baseball is just about the most boring spectator sport evolved, but that
doesn't mean Willy Mays wasn't a fantastic player.  Boxing is brutal, barbaric,
disgusting, and in the opinion of myself and the American Medical Assoc. should
be outlawed, but I can recognize Ali's greatness at it.

Well, I've seen screenshots of both games with cars flying about 20ft in the
air, climbing straight up crash fences, etc.  I was a big fan of 60's F1, and
am a big fan of the current CART, and have never seen such in real life.  There
may be correlations between skill level in these two games, and granted, I have
no personal experience with either one, but from what I have seen on the net, I
can't classify either of them as "sims".  Sorry, they just look like they play
too much like "games".

Oh no, you are in trouble now. You have called GPL a "game".  The disciples
of GPL will now attack. Take cover.  :-)

If you find one posting by me, ever, where I insult someone unprovoked, and
call a sim shit, or say it sucks, or use any terms similiar to that, let me
know. Read the first few posts of this thread again to see where this all
began.

Hmm, cool! There's an upcoming sim (TM) that's endorsed by Johnny
Herbert.
You know what, I don't give that much (pressing two fingers together)
about
what he says about the sim (TM). It's hype, it's advertising... ;^)

BTW, his (Johnny's) sim (TM) sucks. Really!

Okay maybe I mispoke, but what I meant was the public as a whole, not just
us in r.a.s.  I don't know that I could say they only wright adequate code,
because I'm sure writing an operating system as complex as win95 takes more
than adequate code.

Do you honestly think that the best drivers in indycar racing actually would
know what a good game is compared to a bad one?  Gugelmin knows no more
about driving sims than I do about what ratio I need to be running in 6th
gear at Laguna Seca.

The amount compensated makes little (if any) difference.  If said
person is compensated, then his/her endor***t, no matter their
honorability or expertise, is suspect.

If Sierra paid me $100 to write a review of an upcoming title, would
anyone trust my rating (good or bad)?  I think not.

Cheers!

DGF> Sucks, sucks, sucks, sucks. So CPR sucks. I will make a guarantee to Bruce
DGF> and anyone else who has ripped CPR. When the ultimate sim of all f**ken
DGF> time (GPL) is released, the majority of the top drivers will be CPR
DGF> vets. I KNOW how good the CPR drivers are and they will have NO problem
DGF> kicking ass in GPL. I like GPL, but it is not as much of a challenge as
DGF> CPR is for me. Maybe that's why you guys rip CPR? You tried it and it
DGF> was too hard for you? GPL is a little easier for you? You like the

Mega - ROTFL !!! Comparing CPR with GPL IMHO is blasphemy...
