So "I thought you were" and "I guess you couldn't" are accusations?? -Good
to know.

You don't like them, they don't like you. So be it. IMO your only options
are to either avoid them (which is hard to do on a newsgroup) or learn to
live with it.

Not entirely unprovoked I think, but that's just a hunch on my part as to
what Alex took offence to. See below.

As I see it *you* took advantage of Pabsts post to spout your same old
offensive theory about long time GPL racers and again faign suprise as it
ruffles peoples feathers.

I let that go before, but seeing as you now accuse me of putting you on the
defensive for a couple of fairly innocent comments, I thought I'd bring it
up.

Besides, everyone here can expect to find him/herself at the receiving end
of some stick at one time or another and your past dealings with the group
make the probability of this happening even greater, so who's actually
whining here?

Well, you *didn't* show for the race. That's a fact, whether your statement
that you'd show was a 'joke' or not. I'll admit that I don't remember the
insult you said you got from Alex.
Correct - I have seen a few umprovoked shots at you. But, 95% of the time,
YOU'RE the one who initiates the insults. You'll jump into a GPL or NASCAR
thread, toss a few putdowns/cheap shots, then *** when people respond. Maybe
your previous record is why people sometimes strike first. If you weren't so
argumentative most of the time, maybe people wouldn't feel that need.
Cause and effect, David... Your 'routine' is old, too.

do another few undred laps (normal evening for you) and you'll see it

Yep, those guys preparing a full year for the Pike's Peak mountain climb
must find it boring. Heck, it's the same ***y track each year! And the
only way to win it is to hotlap your way up to the top.

Ok, I stand corrected - based on that search, most of your posts are in the
threads you mention above. It seems like you've responded more than that
search shows, though.
But, you still make unprovoked snide comments about people, which I won't waste
bandwith on. And I was reminded that you never answered one of my questions:

Why not? Someone who runs a 1:26 at Monza can certainly be considered a better
driver than someone who can only run 1:40. It's an objective ranking. Even if
you want to collect stats for race wins, pole positions, etc - that data
changes arbitrarily. Someone might have 10 race wins, but he's only running
against novices. Would you see him as a better sim driver than someone who
finished last in a race of 'aliens'?
