I never raced on TEN, but that was a network for Nascar racing right?
If you liked that so much, then why don't you like N4?
Not interested in GPL, not in N4, not in WSC..
boy you're a tough simracer to satisfy ;)
But seriously, what kind of sim would you like to see then that would
bring your interest in simracing back?

Opel Manta's.. jeez, those cars are simply WRONG :)

Depends.......:-)

One is a genuine "400", the other one is a "slightly" modified GSi with
a 2.7 liter Mantzel engine, fun, fairly fast and not too expensive to
maintain/modify, unless you break something in the engine on the "400"
of course, those special "400" parts costs a small fortune

Not to mention, I imagine, shifting priorities.  I have come and go here
since '93.  I still like a quick offline session in my few choice sims, and
the occasional online fix, but the demands on my time are a lot different
than they were 8 years ago when I would run whole GP1 seasons in a weekend.

Yes LOL you sure do remember ;-)

I know I probably won't be able with N4.  Sure it's more realistic, but hey
after 5 years of driving the old game engine (1994's N1 to N3), most of us
could do anything on road course with those cars, we had mastered them
perfectly.  Every feedback on screen was easily understood and applied the
correct treatment by our wheel/pedals.

Sorry to hear that :-(

GPL2 will bring you back ;-)

The NROS was much more then just racing.  It was a true community :)

Yeah, I just don't understand why Goy wouldn't like WSC, considering it's
almost an open-source sim.

Ooops, missed this part the first time around...

TEN was more than a place to race N2, it was a place to meet people,
hang out and then race if you could gather a nice crowd, at it's best it
was pretty incredible, at it's worst it was very frustrating, but I'll
remember it as a positive experience and a place where I got to know
some really nice people, much in the same way that the GPL enthusiasts
think of the VROC community I guess, but I never really warmed to Nascar
racing, which is why I jumped at every chance to race at WG or SP,
skilled or unskilled races, but it was the "community" thing that hold
the most appeal to me, that and the fact that all the servers was
located in one place, so if you managed to optimize your connection to
that place, you were set

As for sim, I guess I'd like to see a full blown touring car sim of some
sorts, AussieV8's preferably, but I'll settle for DTM, BTCC/STCC or
Trans-Am, the less high tech the better and the Aussie series would suit
me just fine, and a historic touring car sim would be bliss, or maybe a
historic sports car sim with Aston Martin DB's, Jaguar E-types and that
sort of thing.......

Beers and cheers
