fps in GPL... wha happent?

Yea, its me again. I'm still trying to get this LWFF dialed in and have been
suffering a big drop in frame rates. I used to get a steady 36, now all I
can squeeze out is around 23 or 24! Abysmal! All I changed was my controller
from MS Precision Pro stick to LWFF. My system is a Dell xps r400 Mhz,160
Ram, V770U,Montego Bay2(Vortex 2). Can anyone give me any clues? I'll let
you pass me the next time you come up on my rear end!<G> TIA        P.S. I'm
talkin' GPL...of course.

is that a usb LWff?  Me and many others have had no problems with
frame-rate loss and usb.  Now I guess the next question is...are you
using Win98.  even with the updates, I understand Win95 is not very usb
friendly.
