Actually, I cleared more space to have 600 MB free before install and the
same thing happened. The processor is 266 MHz so I know it meets the minimum
requirements. I even copied the whole CD to disk and tried installing and it
stops at the same point. I tried the install on a lesser system (233 MHz K6
with 32 MB of RAM) and the install continued after it appeared that it was
going to stop on that system, too. I don't know if DirectX has anything to
do with N3 but I do know that on the system I can't get install to work on,
I recently upgraded DirectX (to v. 7, I believe). I spoke to Sierra Tech and
they seem to think I might have a bad CD, though the fact that it would
install on one system and not another seems to dispute that theory. I'm
still thinking of exchanging it for a new copy anyway. Sierra also seems to
think that it has something to do with InstallShield and that I might want
to reinstall Win98. If I do that, will I lose all my current Windows
settings?
