autorun.
If I right click on them in explorer, the autoplay option is missing.
Anyone run into this??

You are right about the registry entry. It must be in there somewhere,
but so far I have not been able to find it. You may want to check it with
TweakUI. Also it might be worth unchecking the autorun box, shutdown
and restart, then re-check the autorun box. It may be able to get reset
that way.
I'll keep checking though. Hey and I even took a registry class a
month ago! You can never know it all...

Doh, I wondered why my autorun stopped working. Same here, it is
checked but won't autorun. Damn demo was only on my pc for 5 minutes.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\SCSI
You should find your CDrom defined there. Look for the
AutoInsertNotification
setting.

BTW, W98 and NT consider IDE cdroms to be SCSI
devices.
In NT you will actually see the driver defined by opening
the SCSI icon in the control panel. W98 apparently considers
the same as I found my CD rom at the \Enum\SCSI registry
entry which I described earlier. I too have an IDE CD rom.
