Well, I've been watching the whole thing about GPl 1.1 sucking up fps, and
people thinking it has something to do with FF, but all we're doing here is
speculation! Why don't we just e-mail Papy about all that and try to figure
out what's going on with them?
Well, probably you already did this and I'm missing something again....

I don't have FF yet but I am seeing jerks and pops that I didn't get with 1.0.
I have a P2-400, V2-12MB and I put my graphics to the exact same settings as
1.0.  I did some practice at the Nurb with 15 cars (same as before) and I
noticed much more jerkiness in the corners and pauses.  This is quite the
bummer.  The readme says the game runs 1 to 2 percent faster but I'm not seeing
that.  BTW, I did a completely fresh install and patched that.

FF not enabled, and im still using my old f1 sim analogue wheel (no ff), so
how come theres slo mo every now and again?????????

Do you really believe that you see 1 or 2 percent???????
BTW without the patch GPL shows me only 36fps. AFTER patching GPL it
shows me 37fps!! And it runs faster!!
AND again: Randy Cassidy did the patch in his spare-time.
The patch is an improvement in Online-racing, graphics and FF. Give the
patch a try and thanks Randy that someone has tried to make GPL
better!!!
The only thing I don't like, are the new 'high-rider'setups. The
'High-Riders' has stolen the 'SOUL'of the cars:((
