: this puerile nonsense ?

Where's your sense of adventure?
And what discussion?  I was flaming a guy who acted as trollbait.
He's prejudging a software title, prejudging several controllers, and then
saying all of the prejudged material sucks.  In a playstation newsgroup.

FLAMEBAIT.

The original poster was stating his opinion that Playstation controllers
seem very flimsy - and comparing them with such units as the TSW, available
for PC, they are. As far as the original discussion was progressing, I found
it useful to read opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of this new driving
game for the Playstation. These reviews of GT might actually convince me to
buy a Playstation.

>>I'm sorry if I offended you by "bashing" your precious game.
>>Personally, I don't find the arcade view or "I am frying my ass off on
>>pavement because there's no car around me" view REALISTIC.

>Question.  What do you look at when you're driving a real car?  The
>road?  Or your fine leather interior?

>>I admit I have not tried a playstation with an analog controller as the ones I
>>tried in the stores are cheesy toys.

>In other words, if you don't have any experience with it...knock it.

Yeah, the V3 is real impressive. Those 25 buttons must do something.
So is that joystick with the little *** wheel. These are the only
one I've ever seen. I don't need to drive a Yugo to know it's crap. I
admit maybe there are better ones out there now, but I gave up on he
PSX a year ago after too many dull, look alike, top down view or badly
done***pit view arcade racing games and cheesy controllers.

Your opinion. I don't feel the usual PSX "sitting on the top of the
car behind me controlling my car in front me"  realistic, no matter
how pretty the graphics, how nice the sound, etc. SIMULATES driving a
car like a good PC sim (GP2, F1RS, Papyrus) with a good wheel/pedal
setup. Ever wonder why there are no PSX controllers the likes of a
TSW, ECCI etc? Maybe the lack of a really good
SIMULATION....read.....NOT ARCADE GAME....

Whatever. Just voicing my biased opinion.

 <some bullshit>

The only car sim fans I've found that don't like GT are the ones who haven't
played it.
