Kevin,
There might be 7 million OS/2 copies sold, but I bet there are not 7,000,000 current
users. Also, how many OS/2 users would buy a NASCAR simulation for OS/2. I know
it is a small percent of OS/2 users, but of all the OS/2 users I know only 1
actually has OS/2 loaded on his machine at home. Most of the people I know that use
OS/2 only use it at the office. I know
some people that bought OS/2 under a promotion because they wanted to "play" with
it. I guess what I am trying to say is that Papyrus probably did market research
based on how many copies they could sell, not how many OS/2 copies have been sold.
This really is not meant to be an OS/2 flame, but I'm sure some OS/2 backers will
tell me I'm full of it. Of course, maybe I can sell them my old copy of OS/2 that
warped to the shelf for "I might load this again someday" software. :-)
Have a good one,
