Hey Guys,
Sorry for a question that is both dumb, and I'm sure
very old by now, but Ive been off the net for the summer and am dying to
ask. Will you be able to play out of DOS or will it run only in some
type of windows format.

IndyCar Racing II will have a DOS executable (.EXE) and a Windows
3.1/Windows 95 executable. The DOS executable will be runnable from
Windows 95, but you will get the DOS user interface. The Windows
executable has a Windows user interface. One advantage to the Windows
interface: you will be able to go directly to the Paint Kit and the Driver
Management app (new with ICR II) from the game.

The beauty of IndyCar 2.0 is that it is written exclusively for Win 95.
So it should be even better than Nascar.

This keeps popping up, so I guess I have to keep squishing it. :-(

IndyCar Racing II was not written *exclusively* for Win95. In fact, it was
written to be portable across many platforms with a plug-in for the user
interface. The driving engine is shared across platforms and comprises
about 60% of the code. The rest is platform specific stuff.

Both, and maybe all three on one cd.(dos, win.31 and maybe win95)

Ya right!!! Your're going to find it slower than it would be in
dos. Unless you have a P6 with 32megs of ram.
