Don't you just hate running into the cars all the time and putting them out of the race. I
think the people at Papyrus should make and option that allows the opponents to be
industructible, not just yourself. I hope they consider this because it's annoying starting
the race with 33 cars and finishing with about 15 left.

Have you ever seen a real indycar race?  Only 19 of 33 finished at INDY.

Yeah...  it'd be much better though if Papyrus made the AI a bit
better.  Sometimes the computer cars just act strangely and do
unexpected things.  We shouldn't have to turn off damage to finish
the race.  I think it's unrealisticly difficult to finish the race.
I've only finish 1 race with damage on...  finished 3rd.  I almost
went crazy on lap 170 something when lapped traffic suddenly slowed
to a crawl and blew a tire.  Was able to limp to the pit, but lost
1st place.

Did you see Milwaukee...  I think only 2 people didn't finish.  Last
year i think only Stefan Johanssen didn't finish.

Now this is a fine idea. I really don't like punting other cars off
the track in Nascar but until recently I was so poor at the circuit
I'm currently playing regularly that I was doing this all the time. As
you go through the race more and more cars end up with severe damage,
but I don't because my car's got damage turned off (!), so yes it
would be nice to have accidents whilst learning, but without computer
damage.

At Michigan last year it seems there were 12 or less cars left at
the end.

I agree. To practice driving in traffic, it would be useful if
your mistakes didn't take out the other cars, otherwise the traffic
would gradually reduce and you wouldn't get the benefit of the practice
without exiting and coming back into the race again.

By the way I have found the best way to practice driving in traffic
on a road course is to go to qualifying. More cars are out on the track
than the pre-qualifying practice session.

Not to be too sarcastic here, Trevor, but perhaps you should work on
your driving skills instead of asking for more options from
Papyrus....   grin.

I think a good feature to add to 2.0 would be your pit crew on the radio
letting you know when someone is coming up behind you or when you are
about to pass the leader or when the leader pits.  It could even include
helpful pit strategies and crash info.  Just a thought.  Maybe they could
put it on the CD-ROM version?
