Well, this makes sense. Let's see, we'll release NL two months
*after* the highly-anticipated N3 (not before, so we might get some
antsy N3 buyers to buy it in the meantime). It doesn't seem to be
selling well, so we'll include it in a bundle with N3(got it already)
and CTS(unwanted, even by the retailers). Oh, and maybe we'll release
a demo, six months after it hit the shelves.
Are the Sierra beancounters total morons?!?
This is a serious question! - you explain why you release a demo
after the software's been out for six months and been put into a
bargain bundle...

Was this NL demo available earlier? If so I guess I missed it. I
just looked at the www.papy.com News page and only saw the N3 demo in
January and the N3/NL/Daytona program demo in February, no mention of
a downloadable NL demo. If so, I guess they're not *total* morons. ;)

He already did, and Riverside alone is worth having IMO.

But the question is, does the demo contain Riverside, so I can get a free
copy of that track?

It's been more than a couple of months. It seems that I've had my copy for
at least six months now, which is quite a lag time to be releasing a demo
version.
I think the original poster means that if you want to increase sales and the
general "buzz" about a product at the outset, you should have a demo
available well before the game gets bundled into a software collection.
Maybe it isn't the case in the Netherlands, but they're already selling
bundled versions of N3, NL, and the truck add-on here in the US for a
reduced price.
As it is I've spent about $90 for N3 and NL and I might shell out more $ for
the truck pack. This is kind of self-defeating in a way, since I'm buying
more of a product which I'm not as enthused about. So long as I keep doing
this, Papy is bound to keep selling NASCAR titles and little else since I
and others keep buying them. Good marketing for them, but not really what I
want. I'd gladly pay more for a GPL2 or a ICR3. Heck, I'd pay $90 for GPL2
alone right now. Instead I'm seriously considering skipping N4 when it
comes out. I'm about NASCAR'ed out for the moment and I still haven't come
close to running a decent time at the Ring.

Since you appear to be a little thick, let me explain the disctinction here
...
My statement (which you accurately quoted above, thanks) had to do with Dave
Noonan's convertor. I wanted that, and I paid for it. I would also like to
have Nascar Legends, simply for the Riverside track. So far, I have "lived
without" the track, since I haven't wanted to spend the dollars.
However, if Sierra -- the publisher, not some warez f##k -- were to make a
free, legal demo available with Riverside included, I would happily AND
LEGALLY get the best of both worlds. I see no inconsistency there. Dimwit.

once again 3DFILES.COM is claiming to have a demo when infact it has nothing
but broken links........
Is it just me or is this only with *every* demo they have???

Try the primary download sites as the mirrors are not updated for a day or two.
That's how mirrors work.

Gotcha. BTW, Riverside is a blast if you don't have it yet. :-)
