Just got this game and for the veterans out there can you give me some links
to what add-ons, patches, etc I will need for this game.

Bill,

For now it is best to get the first official update patch from EA, the
second patch has given LOTs of people problems - hang fire on this one.  The
GT Mod v2.0&2.1 is the next thing I'd get too ... just wait and see how
great it is.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded the 1 and 2 update and had nothing but
problems. I will just update 1, and see if that helps.

F1 2001 Just picked it up

http://f12001.relaygames.com has a full online suite of software that allow
you to play with others online. It is also up to date with most of the
latest add-ons.

Also has the patch #2 (v. 1.076) that requires not fiddling, and works right
away (just have to replace the EXE file... thaz all.
