buycomp.  This card has the video in/out.  Is this the best price for this
card?  Don't care about video in/out.  If there is a better price can you

Oh! - Is anyone here having any success racing on line with a PII 233?  If
so, what video card/combo are you using?  And, what are you using for you
connection to the net?

Thad, I'm not going to tell you what I paid for my Thriller 8meg...way more
than $77......but I havent looked back, since I got it working. I have a
Dell Pll 233, 64m ram,Thriller,and, now, a 56K diamond internal modem, to
replace my original USR 56K winmodem. The Thriller would not work with the
winmodem, so out it went.GPL is looking good, 36 fps during races with 10
AI, very driveable, especially compared to before the 3D card. I,d like to
try some online racing, but VROC requires a netscape browser, I use IE 4.0
and I haven't been motivated enough to d'load netscape.BUT if you try it,
and it works out for you, let me know, I'd be interested to see how it goes.

A PII 233 is fine for on-line racing with a 8M Thriller. You might consider
turning off a bit of the extra graphics like drivers arms, beveled tires,
skid marks, only 3 sounds, and have cars only in the mirrors, just to make
sure your frame rate stays up at 36 fps. I raced on line with a 233 and the
Thriller, in fact I hosted quite successfully.
