Anybody owning the AGP Hercules Thriller 3D graphics card?
I'm thinnking of buying either the TH 2304 A (4MB RAM) or the
TH 2318 SGA (8 MB RAM).

How do they handle the Papyrus sims, like Rend-ICR2, NC2,
SODA and the GPL-demo?

TIA,  Andre

I have one in my secondary system and it is a great card. Nascar 2 looks
great with it, better than the 3dfx Nascar 2 version, which I've tried
on my Voodoo 2. There are some problems getting the V2200 chipset to
work with the ICR2 sim but there is a workaround available at some of
the Rendition sites, like Bjorns. If you want a good all-in-one 2d/3d
card, I don't think you can beat it. My STB Velocity 128 is faster, but
doesn't do you any good with Rendition games like Nascar 2 or ICR2....if
those games are a big concern, then definitely get the Thriller. And for
the best of both words, add a Voodoo 2 to it!!

I have the 4mb AGP card. It's not as fast as say the Viper AGP or RIVA
AGP but the rendition chip handles ICR2 and N2 quite well (as all
rendition's do.)

I would only recommend the card for ICR2 and N2. For AGP it's the slowest
out there. It is no different in speed compared to a Stealth II.

Are you saying that the AGP rendition handling of N2 and ICR2 is no better
than a Stealth II?

That's  EXACTLY what I am saying. I too thought it would be faster but
because it's only a 1x AGP card it is absolutely NO FASTER than the PCI
version.
