Wouldn't it be great if we could do Mods for GPL like they have in
Quake. I think a MarioKart mod would be great. You could go traditional
and have bananas, shells etc. or modernize it with oilslicks, rockets
etc. Also, on a more serious note, I would love to get a linux
dedicated server for GPL. I'd be happy to run such a thing on my
firewall. I've only got a cable connect but still I could set up a vroc
server for when I didn't need my bandwidth.

The kind of mods I'd like to see would simulate various points of racing
throughout the '30s, '50s, '60s, and '70s with all new carsets and tracks for
each simulated season. Papyrus could simply keep refining the physics engine
and adding better network code and AI (not to mention graphics and sound) while
the mod developers concentrate on the content. Precisely what the
Quake/Half-Life/UT/whatever_else community has done with their (mine too! :)
games.
