Please - no.
I'd much rather see the effort spent on F1 72, or historic Le Mans
cars, or the F1 83 mod that's already in progress.
Why work hard to remake something that's already been done well? Not
to mention the sh*tstorm of controversy that would ensue as proponents
of one version or the other go after each other?
What needs to be proven? GPL itself shows how good the Papy engine
is, the GT mod shows how good the ISI engine is: both great.
The followup posts on Alison's interview make me think something is
brewing for GPL (or maybe even N4/2002?). I can't wait to see what's
next for either sim.
