Hello

Following trev's post for the super hyper duper physics in F1 2002 I have
seen in the .plr file that there is the axis deadzone set to 5% which
happens to be the smallest possible setting in the game.

I was just wondering if anybody had set this to 0% which would make great
sense to me (who the f...k invented this crappy deadzone anyway ?) and if
the game runs better.

I didn't want to try by fear of braking something, I just lost my GT3 mod
yesterday after the game crashed, now it just does the graphics setting game
and boots always to F1 2001, even if I run the gt3 mod shortcut, I guess
I'll have to remove the Gt3 mod and reinstall it....or is there a known fix
for this problem ?

Thanks

Yes absolutely set all deadzones to zero if you are using a wheel and
pedals.  The deadzones are only useful to people trying to play with
joysticks.

In your LemansConfig2001.ini, make your RUNBENCHMARKS=0.  Worked for me.

You don't need to edit the deadzone in the plr file.  Just change it
in the controller options for that specific controller.  I just double
checked my plr, which I only edited in order to to enable the
high-fidelity physics and the deadzones for my wheel are all set to
0%, the same as the in-game menus.

errr, thanks but i don't have such a file.

I have a lemans folder in a ALMS2001gtseason folder which contains no .ini
file, i have a lemans folder in the seaon01/tracks same, without any ini
file and that's it, i have searched all the files in the F12001 direcotry
for one that would contain the word runbenchmark and nope turned up...

Strange strange....

Hmmm...  different structure than mine, so I don't know whats up.
You must have other mods installed that I don't.

Have you tried copying the video config lines from your CONGFIG.INI  to your
CONFIGFIAGTV3.INI? Both files are found in your F1 2001 game folder. In
CONGFIG.INI  copy the lines from the line CPURATING=... down to (and
including) VSYNC=... and paste over the same lines in CONFIGFIAGTV3.INI. You
have to do this with each INI for each MOD you are running each time you
upgrade your video drivers and after any time you've re-run the video config
program. Might help in this situation too.

You can set it to 0% in the game. 5% is the default setting.
