Christmas releases flying thick and fast in our forums... up gotta see this
one.

Team "Vintage Motors Inc." released their awaited mod for F1-2002 devoted to
the Turbo F1 era spanning from 1984-88. This is some of what the team
promise in their release:
*24 highly detailed cars ranging from 1984-1988
*The best sounds ever in a MOD (thanks spoooooons!!!!!!!!)
*Almost frightening realistic physics
*Some updated visual effects, even some new ones
*New Driving school
and might I add.... Magnesium sparks ;)

Sounds pretty good yeah ;)
Now go get it here [ http://www.racesimcentral.net/], and once you
have tried it out remember to give comments and feedback to the team at
their new forum home at RSC... your posts are the only reward these guys get
for spending countless hours slaving over this new creation.

New F1 Turbo mod for F1-2002

Hello

Great aide but why do we need to install ANOTHER copy of F12002 and not do
like the GTR mod where you can "play" with the config file to launch f12002
as "original", "GTR", "ALFA" or "Turbo", and leave some space for the other
mods to come....

I'm just suggesting that because I am totally unable to do anything like
this....

New F1 Turbo mod for F1-2002

by Dave Henri » Fri, 27 Dec 2002 02:30:13

Looks like you CAN install it into your original F1 2k2 install, but if
you are not familiar with the mod folder structure, you might not want to
try that route.  You could end up overwriting your f1 2k2 install which
'might' then mess up all your mods.
Xp users have reported some crashing. (and not on the track :>  )

OK I have searched the checkered flag site where can I download the mod?

I can find the individual cars - do I do that ?  or is there a complete mod
file?

Thanks in advance

Brad

I got everything installed as per the instructions. I tried to do the
drivers school but when I click accept it does nothing.

I then try to test or race and the game crashes back to desktop. I have
changed the pitstop animations to LOW and I have even tried turning the
graphics down. Does anyone have any advise?
