F1 2002 Turbo mod install question

The instructions for the Turbo mod say: "step3. unpack TURBOVehicles.rar to
a temporary folder. When unpacked, put all the extracted files straight into
C:\program files\turbo-mod\season02\Vehicles\."  But I assume that I should
install the Turbo mod into my F1 2002 folder, shouldn't I?

Sean

P.S.  What do people think of this mod?

Are you using the version that has it's own installer?  I haven't looked
at that one since I didn't want to mess with the mod after I got it
working.  The original instructions wanted you to install the mod onto a
clean unmodified verison of F1 2k2.  That could be what they meant.  You
CAN install the mod into an existing version of F1 2k2 tho, and ...I think
they are about ready to release a comprehensive patch.
My only worry is the new installer might conflict with your current
install, but if you know where the files are supposed to go, then that risk
can be minimized.
I gave all my turbo mod folders new names so they wouldn't conflict
witht he existing stuff.  So I have TurboSeaon, Turbosave, TurboVCR,
TurboOptions etc all inside the original f1 2002 folder.  I guess I'd
better have a look at what the installer does.

I downloaded the files individually from here:
http://www.m4driving.sm/checkeredflag/install.htm.  I'll try what you
suggest about making separate Turbo folders.
Thanks.

I installed the Turbo mod as the instructions said, but can't find a
launcher for it.  I'd downloaded the original files from here:
http://www.m4driving.sm/checkeredflag/install.htm.  The game.gdb file came
up as a text file which I saved as a text document. Is that the right format
for it?   Thanks.

The Game.gdb IS a text file but you should NOT attach the .txt ending to
it.  game.gdb is the proper format.  I sent you a pretty large email hoping
to cover the basics of installing the mod.  I'll send my shortcut as well.
