LWFF vs. Sidewinder FF

I'm seeing a lot of posts about the LWFF lately and few about the
Sidewinder FF. Does this mean that nobody is using the Sidewinder or
does it mean that no-one has any problems with it?

Well, I've had my MS FF Wheel for almost a year and still haven't had
anything go wrong with it (apart from the throttle pedals starting to squeak
slightly...). I've been pretty impressed.

Johan,

I've been using a MSFF for almost 6 months without any problems.

Ditto what Bobby said.
A slight squeak, no other problems. Oh and one more thing, the wheel
has to be full left when powered on, otherwise it'll "hang right"
after the self calibration. A common issue I think.

Easy clip-on/clip-off to the desk. Good strong FF effect (though I
thing the LW might be even stronger). Large pedals with long motion.
Digital, so no jittering or calibration problems. Recoignized in most
games so it's easy to get going. Easy "programming" in the SW software
for the few games that doesn't recognize the wheel right away.

Some people don't like the "notchy" feel of the MSFF gear drive and
prefer the cable drive of other wheels. It really doesn't bother me
much.

All in all, a good buy.

Well I have a Logitec WFF and I think its great. I read that it may have more realistic
feel with GPL than the MS. Also I like the paddles and look better than MS.
Read a review of both here http://simracing.com/alison/gpl/force.htm#logiff
