Sorry for the spelling but i when i install the new d3d patch should i be
able to enable anti alising form within the game menu ? Its greyed out as
normal and i don't see any difference in the graphics from the open gl
patch. Also how do i enable v sync i don't see an option anywhere either
within the menu or in control panel.

I can't select mine either, I think that is normal.

I read somewhere that anti-aliasing was only available on rendition cards.

  Or to some extant the new 3dfx V5.  But as far as in game, yes you are
correct, Rendition only and that added a fuzzy blur in the distance..
