gpl: no anti-aliasing

I just purchased gpl, even though I knew my lowly p200mmx would be groaning,
and for some reason I cannot check the anti-aliasing box in the graphics
options menu.  I'm running a voodoo rush board (herc stingray) with glide
2.45.  The graphics are reminiscent of nascar 1 with all graphics turned
off.  In practice mode, with all graphics turned on, including mirrors, I
get around 9fps.  With everything off, including mirrors and trackside
objects, I only get around 15fps.  My upgrade to a 400k6-2 is gonna have to
wait until I can get my daily driver together, and I don't wanna blow money
on a pci video card if it will bottleneck my future upgrade which will
support an agp card.  I suppose I could just shelf gpl until I have decent
hardware, and mild viper racing a while longer.  Any other suggestions?

I had a P-166mmx, ATI 8meg XPert98 PCI video and 64 meg of SDRAM.  GPL
was'nt worth playing on such a setup.

I recently bought an ABIT BH6 MB, a Celeron 300a and Guillemot's Maxi Gamer
3D2 accelerator combined with my ATI.  Since day one, the processor runs
super stable at 450 and the game is fantastic.  As a matter of fact, its so
stable, I haven't tried it at its normal 300mhz yet.

I think its a great buy for someone who feels comfortable playing in the
BIOS once in a while.

GPL only supports anti-aliasing in rendition mode.

Currently got a sorted 200MMX, voodoo2, SB Live, 32 RAM, running 640x480
res., most textures on but only cars in mirrors, trackside objects set
on few and detail about 25% from left. I get around 30-36fps at tracks
like Monza and Glen. I found the SB Live made a difference of 3-4fps
over my previous SB 16 PnP ISA card. Upgrading from a voodoo1 made
higher fps possible but made the fluctuations from max fps to average
fps worse :(

After putting the SB Live in and getting the extra few fps I managed to
knock a few tenths off all my best lap times..... :)

yeah - will be getting one of the new 370 Celerons (or equivalent) soon,
hope they're OC'able!
