Anyone know of a UK source for an adapter so that I can use my old
gameport wheel/pedals with a fast new USB only laptop machine please?

Bryn

Maplin Electronics sell two types.

Go to:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/
and enter the order codes in the Search box at the top of the page.

I bought the UA22Y from the Birmingham shop.
The advert mentions analogue joysticks and it works great with my
Thrustmaster wheel and pedals.

Has anyone tried this with MS Sidewinder Force wheel - the original gameport
version ?

That is what I hope to use it with. I *think* the MS FF wheel gets its
power through a separate power brick rather than through the
gameport/midi port, so shouldn't draw too much from the unpowered USB
adapters.

Anyone done it?

Thanks Lawrence and Richard, just what I need.
