Is there anyone out there who was happy with the original MSFF gameport
wheel, and has bought a MOMO wheel?
Would you please do a comparison between the two?
very steady feel and the wheel is very precise. I find the area around
neutral steering very good especially, the MSFF is a bit sloppy there. The
pedals are more or less equal. The Logi calibrates 0-255 as opposed to the
MSFF 1-63 but it is hard to let the pedal reading do increments of 1.
MSFF and the option to literally bolt it down to the desk. The plug can be
taken off the wheel completely for easier removal.
I have the old MSFF wheel plugged into the gameport, and I have had no frame
rate problems, or any problems at all, really. It works well with GP3, GPL
and Viper, which are my main concerns, and I have had no problems whatsoever
in any other games I've tried. The feel of teh wheel and pedals, and force
feedback are great IMO.
problems.
I ask, because I really like the look of the MOMO wheel, I'm sure my trusty
MSFF's going to die one day, and I'll need a replacement. The *** on the
grips is beginning to wear out, and occasionally I get a clicking sound that
I don't like at all.
Overall, though, I'm very happy with the MSFF, and I would buy another -
EXCEPT for the fact that they're all USB, now, and I believe that people
have had a lot of trouble getting them to work properly, getting the buttons
to be recognised, and had lower frame rates.
Thanks.
