Well - I have an MSFF sat beside my desk, the Momo ON my desk.
Wheel - the Momo wheel is a lot nice imho - just a better feel - better FF -
more accurate somehow.
As for the pedals - I used Speed 7's - but before they arrived I used the
MSFF still attached to the machine just to use it's pedals with the Momo
wheel - who's pedals are tucked up againast the wall. I found them truely
horrid.
For the plastic-brigade - the MSFF pedals are probably as good as it gets

I purchased a Momo for the same reason you are considering, to maybe get
something better.
Well, the wheel is indeed a bit better. It's too early to answer the
reliability question, but it is a bit more precise, has better shifters,
etc... Many, including myself, have trouble with the buttons. They are a
lot harder to reach and after using a MSFFW for 2 years + it takes a lot of
practice to get it right.
Now for the bad news. The Pedals.
The pedals on the Momo are totally horrible. Just a completely botched
design. The throw is too short, the swivel angles are all wrong, the thrust
angles are all wrong, and they stick like crazy sometimes. Also, the cord
coming up from the pedals to the wheel is too short for a lot of folks I've
talked to.
If you drive a Tractor for a living, and have small feet, you might like
them :)
The Momo I bought lasted on my desk for 1 day. Since then, it was put back
in the box with about 3 hours use on it and the MSFFW has been put back into
service. The Momo is still in the box as an emergency set, or until I find
someone locally to buy it.
This isn't the first time I've bought a new wheel/pedal set to 'upgrade'
from the MSFFW, where the new one didn't last any time and the MSFFW always
ends up back on the desk.
I finally decided that this was trying to tell me something, and I just
forgot about replacing it. Been happy every since I quit thinking about it
:)

If you're MSFF isn't broken, don't buy the MOMO. I bought the MOMO, after my
MSFF brake pedal broke during a full GP race in GPL at Silverstone
(%#"%!). The MOMO has made GPL less fun :-(
The wheel is fine. It is better than the MSFF. It simply just feels more
right. I guess it's got more precision. But the pedals.... MOMO pedals are
inferior to the MSFF pedals. Somehow Logitech figured that pivoting pedals
would outweigh the disadvantagages of short pedal travel. Why didn't they
think of increasing pedal travel instead? The pivoting pedals are hard to
get used to, at least if your racing without shoes.
The pedals of the MOMO are really bad. It's a shame, really - 'cause the
wheel itself is superb. The only ones that probably are very happy with MOMO
pedals, are BRM. They probably sold a lot of Speed 7 pedals to frustrated
MOMO owners.
