Anybody know have more info on this wheel ?.

ERINGWHEELS&prodId=16291#reviews

I can't find any details about it on Logitechs web page.

Handstiched leather.......
Aluminium gas and brake pedals...........
Force Feedback...........

Whats even more surprising is that I found this while trawling an Australian
computer dealers website !!. We usually have to wait months for new products
to arrive from USA.

Wow - it sure looks good, and it sounds even better EXCEPT... it sounds like
the mechanicals are from the GP model.  Which means gear-driven mechanism -
most people prefer the cable-driven LWFF.  Still, I'll be checking out
Logitech's page for the next couple of months...

P.s.: What's the conversion rate between OZ/US dollars?

I would have to agree that it does look like they have used the original
LWFF wheel and pedals as the starting point for this offering. The wheel
may be good with real bearings as per Jens supply
(http://jensschumi.tripod.com/ ) but adding a bit of alloy will not IMO
come anywhere near fixing those original pedals.

If they had asked I would have been more than happy to either supply my
pedals or let them copy them for a small commision<S>

Cheers.

A quick look-round reveals:

<http://shopper.cnet.com/shopping/resellers/0-7085-311-6966748.html?ta...>

A lowest current USD price of $159.63.   Hmmm....  Makes sense for Logitech to hit a marketable pricepoint above the old LWFF now
that they've gone below it with the GP series.  Good for them - and us too, considering how well-liked the LWFF's were.  Hope they
do a non-ff version.

Hi Mike,

it has ball bearings and everything, and the pedals look different too.
Different tilt angle, and wider basis.

I think they gave this thing a pretty stiff overhaul.

I'd steer clear of that, the pedals look just as bad as the original LWFF.

How come Logitech don't know that in a race car you press the pedals forward
and not down?  Is there a lot of bus, van and HGV racing in France or
something?

Probably because most people don't sit on the floor (or a few inches
above it).  I do see your point though.

Gee, I wonder where we can buy a sim controller that has pedals that don't go
down when pressed?  I'm thinking ..... NOWHERE!

Would be highly interested myself what the BB-conversion looks like.
Sounds to me that the Logitech guys created a promotion series from the left old
LWFFs.
