Although they ARE gear driven (unfortunately IMO)

| Would be highly interested myself what the BB-conversion looks like.
| Sounds to me that the Logitech guys created a promotion series from the
left old
| LWFFs.

Hi Mike,

Well, at the ECTS stand I asked 2 different logitech people (i came back
later for a go on it).  They both told me that it was gear-driven but it was
better than the standard LWFF GP and it was ballraced.  It also felt like
the LWFF GP and MSFF (gear driven?) - i.e. a little notchy, however it was
less notchy than both of them.

It was very solid feeling with little / no play.  The force feedback seemed
fairly good, but I reckon GP3 isnt the best implementation of FF in the
world anyway.  The wheel felt nice in the hand and looked the part.  I didnt
get a good look at the pedals but I felt them with my hand and they were
blatently plastic and very similar to my own LWFF (non-GP) pedals.  It was
hard to feather the throttle in my boots and I didnt think they would
appreciate me taking them off after wandering round ECTS all afternoon :)

I think thats about all I know

Thanks for the confirmation Ash, pity they didnt resurect the old LWFF
cable drive.

As for the pedals, will they never learn?

Looks like my old LWFF will have to keep going and going....

Cheers.

Ash,
but it looks like they  transplanted the GP-guts into the non-GP casing, right?

Yeah, it definitely looks that way, but the guy insisted that it wasnt just
a LWFF GP with a fancy wheel :)

So why not buy one and transfer the wheel to your old LWFF and then
sell the new one with your old wheel on it.
