This can sometimes happen when installing add-on tracks.  The main thing to
check is that the line:

numEvents=XX (where XX is a number specific to your system)

near the top of the 67season.ini file is correct.  This number should refer
to the total number of tracks that you have installed.

You will then need to make sure that you don;t have any "duplicates".  Check
the 67season.ini file by scrolling down.

You shoild see lines such as

[Event1]
name=South African Grand Prix
shortname=South African GP
trackDirectory=kyalami
month=1
day=2
numberOfLaps=80
startingGrid=4

[Event2]
name=Mexican Grand Prix
shortname=Mexican GP
trackDirectory=mexico
month=10
day=22
numberOfLaps=65
startingGrid=4

ETC...

Make sure that you don't have any duplicates (e.g. two event 13's, or
similar).  If you can see nothing wrong with these files, then a surefire
way to fix the problem is to re-install GPL.  Make sure you keep a backup of
your player.ini file, setups, replays etc. though!

I got this when I installed the lotus4 from GPLEA site.

I restored it with another lotus mod, and it worked again.

I have also heard of a few other mods causing this... but this is the one
that nailed me.

Hope it helps.

Cheers,

Schumi

If you can't access ANY track, it's most likely to be something in a car
folder. Have you installed any car addons lately? If so, rename or
remove them. You should be ok then. Just download it again and retry.

If it's one particular track then it'll be something you've added to
that track folder like a new texture or something.

Don't forget to also check that your hard drive hasn't run out of space -
that can also lead to "Cannot load track" messages.

Reinstall GPL from cd, apply latest patches? That should work, else you got a
problem...

Goodluck!

Aside from the various tips already mentioned, this could also be a case of *too
much* RAM (over 512 MB)

Open the core.ini file in your GPL directory (if you do not have this file, it
is called core.ini.sample and you will have to rename it) and change/add the
following lines:

[Replay]
ReplayMemoryOverride = 40000

(40000 could be upped to as high as 120000 I think before getting the 'track
weekend cancelled' error)

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips.

I eventually reinstalled GPL and went bit by bit to see if I could isolate
the prob.

When I change res to 1024X768 it freezes when I am either in the car or on
the set up page. I have the latest patches installed and the direct 3d rast
so I am at a loss to explain this. Is there a right and wrong version of
this patch? I am running the Asus 7100 with the 12.6 driver which is the
latest.

Also the track prob seems to be the add-ons as with the standard track that
came with the game all seems OK.

I hope to be joining you online very soon should this be fixed.

Thanks.
