: OK we all know that using a wheel and pedal combo for nascar is a
: must.  No wthat i have the time and the money i plan on building my
: "dream machine" for auto sims.  What i want to know is in IYHO should
: i use digital or analog brakes.  i definaly will be using anolog
: throttle to ease partial speeds (pit road and following the pacer)

Well for better control I would want analog brakes.  Sometimes all you
need is just a touch of the brake, especially on the 2 road circuits.

I agree. It takes a little getting used to (if you're used to a
joystick and buttons set up as accelerator and brake) but it's worth
the effort. After all, the real cars have analog controls.

and for those of you you have a wheel.pedal combo... how many inputs
does it have?  i don't want to install a bunch of buttons if they
won't work.  i know the joystick support is only 2 axis and 2
buttons...

Thax 4 your help...

I own a lovely Extreme Competition Controls' CDS wheel/pedal system.
It has 4 buttons on the wheel. Only my Papyrus products support use of
more than 2 buttons. You can program the 3rd for reverse, but the 4th
remains unused. Still, very nice!

As for analog/digital brakes I'd be analog all the way, as my CDS
pedals are. This gives great control IMO. When I used the fire button
on my joystick for braking I had to control the braking with the gas
by pushing the stick forward (which gave me analog gas).

Stuart.
