I don't see why not, dependant on a few factors.
The CDS system comes in two halfs as you know. Each has its own
joystick plug on a nice long cable. Thus you need two sockets to plug
it into your computer. A CH Gamecard III or equivalent, with dual
ports, is recommended and is what I purchased, as opposed to using the
single input available on my AWE32 soundcard.
The wheel has 4 buttons on it. You *will* need 2 ports to fully
utilise these. If you use an adaptor for two plugs into one soundcard
port, for instance, I believe it will work, at the cost of losing the
functions on the inboard set of buttons. And that's IFF (sic) the
connections are wired up correctly. Mind you, you can currently only
use one of these inboard buttons for reverse in Papyrus' games. So I
guess it's not that much of a loss. Maybe GP2 will allow me to program
the 4th button for something useful - pit lane speed limiter perhaps.
Also, it's a bit like using the freebie interconnect you get when you
buy a CDplayer to plug it into your amplifier. It's perhaps not going
to be quite as accurate as it possibly could be. Up to you.
Since I've never seen a T2 (but I have had 2 ECCI CDS's in the same
place at once - fantastic it was too!), I really can't say much beyond
this as I don't know how the T2 plugs together.
