Best wheel/pedal combo?

Best wheel/pedal combo?

by Andrew Cog » Tue, 06 Dec 1994 05:04:35

Has anyone here actually compared different wheels and pedals before
buying one?  I've seen a lot of posts about Thrusmaster's T1, but I
heard that the CH Virtual Pilot + CH Pro Pedals are a great combo too.
Simulation Systems Auto Racing***pit seems pretty cool, but I don't
have the room for an enormous metal-framed monster.  I need something
I can set up on my desk, and easily put away when I'm done.  I can't
devote my work space to being a driving sim (much as I'd like to!).  ;-)
Can anyone quote from a published review?

Thanks!

Andrew:
It's still in the betatest stage -- I'm one of the testers -- but it
sounds like the wheel from Thomas Enterprises is just what you're
looking for.  It has separate dash and pedal units and easily mounts and
dismounts.  The quality of the Thomas wheel is much better than the T1
and it comes with a much better warranty.  The cost is projected at
about $170 and should be available soon after the first of the year.
If you would like to know more, contact me by e-mail and I can give you
the information to get in touch with the manufacturer.
