Im trying to choose between the Thrusmaster Pro Digital Racing Wheel
and Logitech Wingman Formula.  Both should be about $80.  Force
feedback is not important.

Thanks.

I got my NASCAB PRO DIGITAL WHEEL at CompUSA last week for $30 with a rebate.
Excellent price for the wheel.

It is an average wheel.

i had a Logitech Formula and thought it was a great wheel. So much so, that
I just sold it to a friend and bought the force-feedback version.

All my opinion (goes without saying:))

Microsoft MSFF: best pedals in the FF wheel market but the steering feels a
little notchy and the rear paddles (or buttons) are a bit difficult to reach
for those with small hands. Some people don't like the actual shape of the
wheel and it feels a bit plasticky.

Logitech FF: nice feeling wheel (I only tried the non FF version but most
people choose this as the best wheel) but the pedals have very little
movement which doesn't suit me.

Guillemot Ferrari I havent actually used in a game but from the feel of the
wheel at the shop I passed on it, seemed poorly built to me.

The ACTLABS I haven't even seen yet in the UK so I can't comment on it.

I'm currently using a F1 sim wheel with the modified steering return spring,
I find it a very nice wheel but it doesn't have FF (if that is an issue for
you) and is a bit pricey now, about 170 IIRC.

If you're looking for something a bit less expensive then maybe the
Thrustmaster wheels will be suitable for you, the sprint is about the
cheapest PC wheel available in the UK that isn't likely to fall apart before
you open the box ;)

Thanx.  I decided to buy a wingman formula (non force feedback).  I'll
let y'all know how it handles.

I Bought an ACTLABS wheel here in Australia in July last year. It has a
good wheel, though the paddles could be a lot better. They are a single
piece of plastic that pivots on the column of the wheel. So yu can
change up and down with one side. The pedals also take some getting
used to. THey are sort of jerky. I pulled them apart and put a little
WD40 on the sliding surfaces and it works alright, though I still have
to be careful how I press the accelerator pedal to get a smooth action.

I will probably stay with this wheel as ACTLABS are making some great
addons such as the gearbox shifter. Their site is www.actlabs.com. I
don't meant to spam, but there is some handy info if you choose this
wheel.
