Need gamer advice on a 3D Card

OK I'm sure most of you have see many posts about this subject but I've been
away for awhile.

Anyway, I have a Compaq 333mhz, AGP 2x, 64RAM, blah,blah, oh PII MMX....  I
need a 3D card, obviously it seems 3DFX is the standard (to me at least look
at the game shelves) so what do you think?

I'm leaning towards a Canopus Pure 3D II card which is VooDoo 2.  Good or
bad any FIRST HAND experiences?

I just installed 2 Pure 3D II's (SLI'ed)  in my friends PC and I am VERY
jealous.  Their drivers are top notch and the control panel is probably only
2nd to that of the Quantum3d Obsidian X-series card.  Great cards if you can
afford them.

I think he was asking for opinions on the Canopus Pure 3D, rather
than getting something that simply looks good.  It does matter BTW.

FWIW, the Canopus products have always been first rate, but to get
a better idea of how different cards stack up, have a look at Tom's
Hardware site:

Cheers!

Hi
I have a pure3DII in my machine and was wondering if down the line I decide to
run SLI if I can use the cheaper lx model.
What did you put in your mates machine?
