Those shots were quite probably taken while running on a Hercules Thriller
8meg AGP card. The Thriller uses the Rendition V2200 chipset and Rendition (vs.
Glide or D3D) is _the_ native acceleration app of Papyrus. Of course the
Rendition acceleration does support anti-aliasing. The other interesting thing
about the V2200 chipset is how the architecture works, it doesn't have part of
the memory for frame buffer, part for texture ala Voodoo2. The whole 8megs just
plain churns away. The graphics on the Herc cards are not only prettier, they
run at a faster framerate too <ggg.> You may well want to consider one if GPL is
your thing. I suspect Papy will continue to support Rendition, so you could use
