Not a significant difference other than the AGP can access your system
memory in addition to the onboard memory. Get the AGP if your new MB
supports it. You will probably need all of the PCI slots.

Yes, the Voodoo II boards use a pass through cable and can be used with most
any video card (ISA, PCI, or AGP). I have 2 CL Voodoo II's (SLI
configuration) connected to my Viper 330 AGP card. I have also used the same
configuration with the Thriller AGP card.

Try www.buycomp.com . They have great prices and reasonable shipping rates.
I bought my Thriller 8MB AGP for app. $150 plus S&H.

Hope this helps,

Dan

The Rendition V2200 chip in the Thriller can't use AGP 2.0 to access
system RAM.  As a result the PCI and AGP versions have virtually
identical performance.  The only real choice to be made is what is the
best use of your slots...an AGP Thriller will save a PCI slot, that you
can use for a 2nd Voodoo2 for SLI perhaps?  There aren't really any AGP
devices out there other than video cards.

Make sure you get the 8 meg Thriller to reduce texture thrashing.

I'm not even sure the 8MB version is available in PCI. People who
should know recommended the 8MB, instead of the 4MB card. Therefore, I
would go for the AGP 8MB card if I were you.

The Hercules Thriller 3D is avalible as PCI or AGP - with 4 or 8mb memory.

Check you www.hercules.com for more info.

All the best,
