I'm considering trading in my ATI x800 GTO for a Geforce 6800 GT and was
wondering what kind of fps improvements (if any) to expect. My main sims
are rFactor and GTR2, with a bit of FalconAF thrown in every once in a
while. CPU is an AMD64 4200+ dual core, so I'm guess most sims aren't
limited cpu wise at the moment on this system.

As I'm still on a 300W PSU, I'd like to know if increased power
consumption would be an issue?

I wouldnt boher with a 6800 and get an ATI 1950.  I think its available in
both PCI and AGP and its fairly friendly on the wallet.

I don't think it consumes too much power.  What make and model is your PSU?

Thing is I can get the GF 6800GT in exchange for the X800GTO from a
colleague, so I was wondering if the whole affair was worth the hassle ;-)

I don't think you're going to see much of a difference.  At least,
performance-wise.
