HOORAY FOR SQUASH BALLS!

I added a two halves of a squash ball to my MS FF Wheel brake pedal. I now
have brakes that feel PRESSURE rather than TRAVEL sensitive. I thought it
would be difficult to adjust to.

However, on my first outing at Watkin's Glen I suddenly found a lot less
tyre smoke whilst stopping ... and found and extra 0.21 seconds over my
previous personal best (now 1:06:62)!

Time to work on the 'Ring....

:-)

GPL feels like a different game now...

About to do the same

When you say two-halves of a squash ball - do you mean you cut it in half,
and put one half inside the other?

Anyone done something like this with a Nascar Pro 2?

I did a similar thing. I tried half a squash ball but found it too
hard. I ended up using a piece cut out of one of those foam ***
balls you get for 'stress relief', often with promos on them. Mine was
Lotus Smartsuite.  ;-)
Nice improvement on MS pedals.

One half down and as far under the pedal as it would go (almost to the hinge
itslef). The other half wedged further up.

Seriously, just fiddle with the pieces until it feels comfortable!

For more than a year I've been using about two-thirds of a yellow dot squash
ball which I find ideal for GPL, but a bit too firm for GP3 and RC2000.
I've been thinking of chopping up a stress ball for the purpose -- glad to
hear it works for you, John, and I'll take the recommendation.  Do you have
it in contact with the brake pedal at zero travel, or do you have to push
the pedal down a bit before it contacts the butchered stress ball?  (BTW, I
think it's highly appropriate that Lotus give away stress balls!)

I took a foam *** ball and cut a core from the center of it and inserted
that into the middle of my spring.  Works wonderful.  Still get all the
travel play with increasing resistance as   I depress the pedal.

I would really like to see a picture of this sort of thing. I have heard of
it numerous times, but I'm having trouble picturing how it is done. Is there
a picture on the net somewhere?

I didn't see one when I did mine... Just buy a squash ball and experiment -
play with positioning until it feels good (as I did). Nobody really told me
where to put it. At worst, you lose some time and waste a squash ball
(hardly a large investment).
